Max Thompson – International Clearance

Max Thompson, later to become a popular Southport FC physio, originally joined and played for Southport in the 1989/90 season, making 9 full and 2 substitute appearances. He joined Southport having previously been at Swedish club Kramfors. Having made a single appearance for Liverpool FC in 1974, Max joined Blackpool, making 99 appearances (6 goals). He then had loan spells in America, before signing for Swansea and Bournemouth. Max then returned to America, before playing for several non-league sides and finally Kramfors.
