The Southportonians played a very fast game,but could not manage to score …. Melross, Smith, Ellis, and Richardson played very fast for the Southport team, and considering they have up to this season played Rugby rules, bid well to make good Associonists. At the termination of a very pleasant game the home team were declared victors by six goals to nil.
