There’s more good news this afternoon as we can now confirm that goalkeeper Dan Hanford has also put pen-to-paper to sign a new contract for the 2020/21 season.

Dan has made 70 appearances in all competitions for the club since joining for the 2018/19 season and won the coveted Supporters’ Player of the Season Trophy in his first season at the club.

That same season, he also becoming the first player since 2010 to be ever present in the Southport jersey.

Had a spell out of the side last season but returned in great form for the Port to reclaim the No. 1 jersey.
