It has been pointed out that tomorrow’s scheduled match against Farsley Celtic will be Southport’s 2200th game outside of the Football League, equalling the number of games that Southport played within the League.

The 2200 non-league matches are made up of:
338 in the Lancashire League (1889-1903)
34 in Division Two of the Lancashire Combination (1903-04)
262 in Division One of the Lancashire Combination (1904-1911)
230 in the Central League (1911-15 and 1919-21)
674 in the Northern Premier League (1978-93 and 2003-04)
508 in the Conference National (1993-2003 and 2005-07)
and tomorrow will be 154 in Conference North (2004-05 and 2007-date)
